Jean-Baptiste Djebbari is a prominent leader in sustainable transportation, aviation, and energy, known for his innovative approach to modernizing infrastructure and advancing clean energy solutions. Beginning his career as an airline pilot, Djebbari transitioned into executive roles within the aviation sector, bringing a practical perspective to his leadership. In 2017, he was elected to the French Parliament, and in 2019, he was appointed Minister of Transport for nearly three years. During his tenure, Djebbari led transformative initiatives, including the decarbonization of France’s automotive and aviation sectors, rail system modernization, and advancements in satellite technology for transportation.
After his political career, Jean-Baptiste served as Executive Chairman at Hopium, a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle start-up, where he redefined the company’s strategy and secured partnerships to propel its growth. Currently, as Managing Partner of Magellan Infrastructure Partners, he oversees projects that finance sustainable infrastructure focused on green energy and resource preservation. Djebbari also serves on boards in the aerospace industry and advises companies on industrialization and global expansion strategies.
