    Tony Hsieh

    CEO of Zappos.com (1999 - 2009)

In 1999, 24-year old Tony Hsieh, co-founder of LinkExchange, sold his company to Microsoft for USD $265 million before joining a starting Zappos.com as advisor and investor.

Soon enough he became CEO of Zappos.com and helped the company grow from almost no sales to over $1 billion in gross merchandise sales every year, while simultaneously making Fortune Magazine's annual "best companies to work at" list. In 2009, Zappos.com was acquired by Amazon.com in a deal valued at $1.2 billion on the day of closing.

Tony's first book, New York Times best-seller "Delivering Happiness" (2010), outlines his path from starting a worm farm to working at Zappos.com, showing how a very different kind of corporate culture is a powerful model for achieving happiness and success in every aspect of life and business.
