During the 1990's, Carl was Chairman and CEO of Product Knowledge Systems Inc, a consulting firm that applied research-based methods to improve sales productivity and effectiveness for competitive advantage. His recent work in customer service includes a groundbreaking effort that improved new hire productivity by 60% while shortening training by one third.
Founder of three consulting firms and a widely acclaimed workshop leader and lecturer, Carl has twice been invited as a Master's Series Speaker for the International Society for Performance Improvement and received the Fred S. Keller Award from the American Psychological Association. He is a member of Who's Who in Sales and Marketing Management, designated by Sales and Marketing Executives International.
He has authored dozens of articles and chapters in human learning and performance, training and development, sales and marketing, customer service, and performance measurement. He is a Certified Performance Technologist who has worked with scores of companies in a dozen industries, including both retail and business-to-business sales and service organizations.
